To celebrate Don's birthday, we went to Poppa's Gyro's on Buckeye and Stoughton.

We noticed it lots of times driving by in our cabs, but never went. Put it on that list of "Oh, yeah, that place. We have to go there sometime."

I got a Greek salad. Ulysses is always happy with French fries. For his birthday, Don got the fourth season of Angel on DVD (surprise from me) & a cordless laser mouse (his pick).

I baked Don a coconut cream pie.

Recipe from the Betty Crocker Picture Cookbook, 1950 edition. It's my latest favorite cookbook. Sharon Savage first told me about it a year ago when we visited her in Missouri. She has the facsimile edition printed in the 1990s.
